The Minneapolis Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay have beautiful courses that travel along the Mississippi River starting in downtown Minneapolis. We want to give you enough detail to make sure you know the most you can about the race before you get to the start line. Please keep in mind this information could be updated at any time and you should check back frequently. See the 2010 race day video here.

Race Starts at The Depot in Minneapolis
Chip Timing
At 11:00am Runners will be transferred from West River Road to the paved paths on the sides of street. West River Road will open for cars at this time.
Mile Markers will be along all of the courses at each mile.
Relay Distances: 1st. Leg: 5.2 miles, 2nd Leg 6.6 miles, 3rd Leg 8.5 miles, 4th Leg 5.9 miles

After you cross the finish line, where your time is automatically recorded, proceed through the finisher’s chute. Volunteers will present you with your 2011 Finisher Medal. After you finish, you will be directed to the refreshment and bag check areas. The Marathon and the Half Marathon will have a common finish. Click her for an aerial view of the finish line. Not Finishing
If you are unable to finish the race, please stop at the nearest aid station or intersection with a Course Marshal Volunteer for assistance and direction. Transportation will be available to the finish line.
