On January 1st, 2010, our beneficiary, Shriners Hospital for Children in Minneapolis, was the location for our winter race the Polar Dash 5K and 10K.  The hospital was also the recipient of our donation during this race.  Team Ortho Foundation was happy to donate $10,000 to Shriners.  But above and beyond that, the organization received an additional $2,300 thanks to our Facebook friends.  "We held a contest on Facebook during part of December. Team Ortho Foundation donated $5.00 for each new joiner to our Team Ortho Facebook Group until December 28th, it was a huge success," John Larson, executive director for Team Ortho Foundation said.

In fact, one person was so moved by the Facebook campaign she offered to match the $5.00 per person donation for the final two day push, which helped bring the number to $2,300. Thank you to all of the people who participate in Team Ortho races and to the anonymous donor for her generosity.  With your help all of this is possible!
